If you want to make your own, then go get a copper grounding rod from the local big box store. They work great, won't rust, and if bent are easy to bend back straight. You can easily work a loop into the top for tie-ing off as well. T Most of those ground rods are just copper plated steel, sot soli...

I too have been looking at camp cruisers for a while. when I'm done with my FS18 I'm going to look more seriously. The Redwings look good but I need more speed. My thoughts lean more in the Skiff America 20 direction. I bought the plans and I like what I see.

Glassing my FS-18

I have all of the glass on the outside of the skiff. I have a few places on the chine that the glass didn't lay smooth and it pulled off a little, These spots ate about 1/4" to 3/8" wide by about 1" or less long. Do I need to fix these small spots, or just sand them fair and make sure...

You better check the regulations very closely. From my understanding, in the areas marked NMZ's in the park, especially around Flamingo, you can't have a motor in the boat at all. That includes a trolling motor. I already checked, the literature put out by the park says "Only boats with motor ...

Motor? for my FS-18

One of the main reasons for by FS-18 build is to fish no motor zones in Everglades National Park. In these areas you are not allowed to have a motor mounted on the boat. My question is, can a four stroke engine be layed down on it's side?? or do I need to go with a two stroke.

Anybody else thats building this boat interested in trying to get ram-lin to build some trailers for their boat? They supposedly only build for manufacturers, but if we have enough interest... Josh I brought that up before the plans hit the street. Joel, I think, said that it may be possible. Don't...

I understand- one ply. I did some practice cuts on some scrap the other day with my router, one ply seemed right, 1/8" too much. Thanks for all the building support.
