Re: GF16 center of gravity and console question
So omitting it in exchange for a center console seems like it would be a concern? How do you compensate? Do you had another layer of glass or something?

GF 16 Center Bench Question
Hi Guys, This is Tony from Skiff Life. I met a few of you guys at the last rally where I brought my latest build, a FS14 Low Sheer: https://www.skifflife.com/2963975/boat-building/ I'm going to build a GF16 next for knocking around here in SW Florida. I have a few questions, some of these may need t...

Re: 2017 Southeast builder's meet at River Palms Cottage OCT 13-14th
Hey guys this is Tony. I’m sitting out a storm on SEWELLS point . Hoping this is going to pass shortly. If anybody is monitoring the board text me at 239-470-0863. I’m going to swing by the supermarket and can pick up some extra cups or anything else needed for this afternoon. I’m hoping there’s som...

Re: FS14_LS Build. Drain Holes Needed?
Yes, I'm thinking of scuppers that I can fully close but I'm having trouble sourcing some.
I originally wanted to place the gas and battery directly forward of the cockpit in that center hatch area but am concerned with battery/gas being so close together?

Re: FS14_LS Build. Drain Holes Needed?
Can anyone offer a suggestion/link to a good scupper or drain to use for the cockpit?
Also, I'm planning on adding these scuppers to both sides of the cockpit towards the rear. See attached for the purple dot where I'm planning to place these. Any suggestions here?

Re: SK14 with 8HP, Build It!
Thanks guys, it really is a neat boat. It's simplicity allows me to jump and go on a moment's notice. The 6 HP should be perfect. If I build a second one for my wife it will have a 4HP on that one and be plenty fast. @BrianC, I'm a BIG guy and can manage to very gently ease up to the front hatch to ...

SK14 with 8HP, Build It!
I'm not sure if the video of the SK14 running with a 8HP Yamaha 2 stroke made it to the forum so I thought I'd share it running up the Estero River here in SW Florida. This run was with +340 lbs. gear, motor, person & full 6 gallon gas tank with beefed up construction (double taped seams, glasse...

Thanks Mike, sounds great...I love your build! Do you have a pic of the placement and type of drain you are using in the cockpit?
