Bayport Bob hit it right on the head. If people would slow down & study the water around them, they would probably catch more fish. An example; My son ( that's him on the cover of the July 2006 Canoe & Kayak Magazine ) & I recently were kayak fishing near a place in N.C called Buzzards B...

I have a 25 hp 4-stroke yamaha tiller on a 16' double wide jon boat. I have a ply wood floor & casting platforms. Not sure how much the boat, battery, fuel, gear, & plywood weigh , but I can guarantee it weighs more than a loaded fs-18. Trust me, my jon boat has a great hole shot & goes ...

How about the new FS-17. The design is suppose to be an improved version of Simmons Sea Skiff. Sea worthy and drafts 6-7" loaded! I don't know, but you might be able to extend the lenth. You have to ask Jacques. I'm from Wilmington. NC and I also know how dangerous it is to cross the shoals you...

I hope my boat looks half as good as these boats, whenever I decide which one to build.

AdamG, Looking at the hull on your boat, you can tell it should handle chop better than most boats that size. For the size of the boat, you have one neat looking boat. I would love to see more pictures of the interior if they are available somewhere.

macfiveo, I'm also kinda messing around with the FS-14 design. I am going to stretch it a little in one of my cad programs and see how it looks. In the section for the OB-15, there is a picture of a guy stainding on the gunnel of an OB-15. That boat appears to have an interior like a flats boat. Nic...
