rocker in Nutshell 7
I was thinking about building the FL12 for someone, but I'm leaning now toward the Nutshell 7 so he could use it as a true dinghy for his sailboat. He's a big guy (6'3" 300 lbs.), so I'm wondering about the rocker of the Nutshell and its stability. In my PK 78 he's VERY wobbly - I was just wond...

plan for rowboat
Hey all, My father in law and I built a PK 78 a few years ago for sailing. He's a bigger guy (6'3" 300 lbs.) so that boat is not very friendly for him. While he's on vacation this summer I'd like to build him a rowboat. I'm looking at the Flat Skiff 12 and wondered: Is this THE easiest bateau.c...

hull as yard decoration?
Hey all. I want to build a sail hull (less than 8 ft. in length) to use as a yard planter, kind of like a tipped over whiskey barrel. I'll cobble together something like the Nutshell 7 (freehand) but my question was more general. Putting in ribs but no seats, would small knees be strong enough to ma...

Re: Birmingham RB14
Please post more pics as you go!!! I am eager to see your progress, as I will be starting a RB 16 in March. (I'm just getting to the rigging on my PK 78, and will post my own pics as son as I'm done).

Re: Runabout 16
Would it be possible to reinforce the mount locations for the tie down straps and use a bridle instead of a ski-pylon?

Re: OB19 layout changes?
Thanks. I've spent quite a lot of time looking and this boat is the only one close to what I want. I'll keep looking.

OB19 layout changes?
I am in the early planning stages of a boat which I will be beginning in March 2013. I really like the look of the OB19, but I wondered if I could have some help with a layout change. With just the study plans I can't ask a more specific question, but I envision something very similar to Leif's Rose...
