Re: SK14 vs. HB18
Thanks, that’s a great comparison. I appreciate the time you took to do that. Now I just need to figure out what plan to purchase. Don’t have the plywood yet and probably need to get it locally so I can buy as I go. Not in a position to make a big one time puchase with shipping.

SK14 vs. HB18
My son purchased the plans and epoxy/glass kit for the HB18 several years ago. As you can figure that never happened and I’ve moved those jugs from one house to another several times. Re: sk14 Brisbane Australia "Skiffy"
Way cool build!
I see the modifications made for the front legs on the poling stand. There appears to be a similar “bump” just rear of the front casting deck. Curious what that may be for?
Very nice boat to be proud of!!

Change log in code
How do I change my log in code from " Mcb2ms" that I used 5 years ago when I didn't know what I was doing to a more identifiable "MichaelB" or such so it shows on my posts?

Re: PH16 K.I.S.S.
I see many fishing boats with running lights on the bow, console, poling stand, etc. Would you do that again? Would the flip up battery type on the poling stand suffice?

Maybe the title of this conversation should be:

Re: PH16 K.I.S.S.
Just as I suspected and very informative. It's interesting to see how those that have built, would do it different the second time around.
I will tell you that the last house we built ourselves is way smaller than the first of 3. They all did the same thing too, eat, sleep, and kept us dry.

Re: PH16 K.I.S.S.
That's the way I'm thinking Jacques. Foam filled no bilge. Fuel under front deck and small console. I want to focus on fishing and getting on the flats. New to fly fishing and really hooked on the down to earth aspec of it all. Keep it simple. Think of it this way....Rocky Mountain fly fisherman car...
