Re: Thinking MT24 Hybrid
I have been following the build of this HH44 catamaran. They are going with a hybrid diesel electric motor. They have 4200 watts of solar generation although it is a much larger boat. https://www.gonewiththewynns.com/how-hybrid-electric-catamaran-works There is also another catamaran being built wit...

Re: 22ft chawk rebuild and bracket build
You might want to check out this rebuild that mbiggerstaff did in his 28 Bertram Restoration Boat 2. He added a flotation bracket in his rebuild. He does excellent work and shows lots of pictures.

Re: RickW Ph18
I used these aluminum plates inside the transom. My jack plate is also from Bob's. At the time there was a BBC discount.

I mounted my running lights on the side of the console. I see new boats with their running lights mounted there.

Sadly I didn't post build pictures. Sorry about the double post of the picture, first time I have ever sent one.

Re: RickW Ph18
Mine is heavier than the design calls for. It has a Mercury 90HP 4 stroke (about 70# more than a 2 stroke) with two 12v AMG trolling motor batteries (65# each) in the console. My previous boat, a Hydrasports 18' center console, was always taking water in over the transom and splashwell and had wet d...

Barra Fishing with Garmin Livescope
I came across this Barra video and thought our Australian friends might enjoy it. He saw a 114 cm Barra in 15m of water. He cast to it and saw the fish turn and hit the bait. He shows two other fish that didn't respond to the bait. We are doing something similar while bass fishing. We look for deep ...

Some good ideas there GB. So what do you know about composting heads or think of them? I ask because I am not sure I will be far enough offshore very often to pump it over the side. This article has a review of composting toilets. I have no experience with them. sailingwiththewynns.com is a vlog of...

Re: PH16/PH18 - minimizing weight, static/dynamic draft
As a first time builder I found it very hard to control weight on my PH because of my inexperience and decisions. I know I used too much resin although I got better towards the end. I used more fiberglass than called for. I used 6 oz under the decking and sole to reduce the chance of water intrusion...

Re: Making a gasket
I have used 3M Super Adhesive 77 spray for jobs like this. You will have to mask off areas you don't want the spray to get on.
