This is picture of entire center board. The bolt does go through the boat and the center board hooks on it. I put a metal strap where the green shows. The sail is now done.
I spent an hour today rigging it and seeing the best way to tension the sprit.
I think I got it on dry land, now to try eventually on the water.

Need to paint it and I am ready to go.

i kind of wanted to make the sailboat 100% homemade. This way it will at least start that way.

On the mast layout on the plans it shows two cleats or blocks, one 1' 2 7/8" from the bottom and one 7' 3 5/8" from the top. But on the Building Instructions or notes. It describes a cleat or block at 5' 2" for the sprit attachment for the snotter. Do I need all three. the bottom one ...
