Re: KiwiGrip over Epoxy
Not sure if this helps or not. I used kiwigrip over EMC off white. I'm not the best painter but I like the slight contrast. Three firsts that day. First fish in New boat, first flounder in fly and smallest founder I've ever caught! The photo shows the contrast good though. http://i16.photobucket.com...

Re: FS18 rub rail choices
A Little late on the reply, I used the tessilmare rub rail on my fs18. It was easy to install, looks great and is heavy duty. I am about to replace the taco rub rail on my Twin Vee. Glad to know I can get from BBC.

Re: Lowrance Elite 4
I would check if your unit is upgradable to platinum plus. The 99 dollar update is great but I bought a brand new plat + for 150 dollars and had a 25 discount card for cabelas. 125 for plat + and you get a year of free updates with it. The plat + gives you a sat overlay that is awesome. check into i...

Re: Fishinder for ga coast?
Yeah I'm really impressed with it. I couldnt pass it up for the price. The WiFi version was still 1100 but I couldnt see needing that feature. I find myself riding around just looking at at the bottom. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b11/ToddinBR/raymarine%20a68%20shots/20150408_184134.jpg under a...

Re: Fishinder for ga coast?
I just purchased a Raymarine a68 (non WiFi) mfd. It came with the The chirp downvision and navoinics gold. It was on sale for $470(reg 1100). It is a touch screen unit. All new raymarine mfds can use the Rm lighthouse raster charts, Navonics and or the cmap charts. I upgrade to the platinum plus cha...

Re: Epoxy allergy?
Larry, If it is an epoxy allergy, you might want to look into a barrier creams. Put your t shirt and shorts on and then put it on exposed skin. if the allergy is inhalation 3m makes a quarter mask that has some OV (Organic Vapor) protection (Model #8214. ). They work well for fumes, and are light we...

Re: FS18 Sept 2014 ToddinBR
Thanks guys, I had a lot of fun building it. To get it done that fast I did give up all my fishing and leisure activities for spring and summer. It also helped that my coworkers, friends and neighbors hammered me if I didn't have boat progress every week! That kind of motivation kept me busy! I tell...

FS18 Sept 2014 ToddinBR
So I know I'm a little late in posting in the Finished boat section, but better late than never. I started my build the end of January 2014 and completed it in August. It took wildlife and fisheries till September to come out and give me my hull numbers. I worked on it about an hour a day after work...

With a fishing load 2 adults, ice chest, trolling motor, battery and rods my fs18 gps'ed wot 28 mph. With a light load i...

Jay that will be a bad weather project. I'm going to starboard it for for now and start putting fish in it.
