That is exactly what I did. Watch the video again and you will see that I reinforced it with timber bars and fiberglass underneath 😊

Hi Karl, No I was not. The two sliding hatch idea did not work the way I wanted. I made a full cut all the way to the mast, this was much better. I did this before I moved the mast position. I made a hatch that sat over the opening. on fair days I left the new hatch at home. https://www.youtube.com/...

Hi Karl, I aim to go out sailing at least once a fortnight, we have a mild climate in Sydney, Australia so we don't go out for about 4 months a year during the colder months. Does that mean it floats off the trailer already in knee deep water ? Yes, it does.
