Re: Steve's FS18

Steve, you have gotten a lot completed since I last checked in. Very impressive work. Really like the attention to detail with your wiring. It’s crazy how much wire is used in these little boats. So close to being completed, cant wait to see you get it in the water.

FS18 Bottom touch ups

What would be the best way to touch up the oyster scars on the bottom of the boat? The attached photo is the worst, however there are many small scratches that I will take care of as well. The original graphite coatings are 4 coats, wet sanded between coats. I am thinking just some type of epoxy tha...

Boat Insurance Questions

I am having a hard time getting insurance for my FS18; the fact that it is homemade. Also, coming up with a the value is pretty tough. I know how much I have in materials and equipment, but the cost to rebuild I have no clue. Any ideas of how to determine a dollar figure for the labor? I am concerne...

Re: K2FS18 - Stats

That is heavy for an FS18. Have you been running her for very long? I am pretty sure mine weighs around 300 pounds and it's quite a bit bigger.. Been running for a while. Keep in mind that the weight does include all the wiring, fuel lines, hardware etc. that I could not get a manufactures weight f...
