Re: Xf20 floor (sole) YouTube video

There are many XF20 builds on here that show XF20 how to do that. Go down to the Builders Power Boat section and search XF20. Not many post to YouTube.

Re: VHF antenna restore

Fallguy I don't know if I would use either of those. As you say the wire on the right one is cracked and broken and would cost a lot to replace at todays wire prices. The one on the left looks to have a cracked ferrule and I would not trust it. A new antenna is only $79 - 179 and will last you as lo...

Re: PG 25, July 2017, PangaRon

Tom, I was on an ag scale so no water in the bait tank, no persons aboard and some 10-15 pounds of gear in the stern lockers. The 32 gallon gas tank in the bow was probably half full. Stryker aluminum T-Top was installed. Honda 90 hp weighs 300 lbs I think. I weigh 185, one mate weighs about the sa...

Re: PG 25, July 2017, PangaRon

Jacques, I would check the PPI calculation. Do to the unique design of the Panga's hull shape I would think the normal calculation may not work for them. Looking at the DE25 it has a PPi of 600lbs while you list the Panga 25 at 510lbs only 90lbs less. I would believe it might be in the 400-450lbs ra...

Re: PG 25, July 2017, PangaRon

Ron was that an empty weight at the scales. Did you have gas or bait wells, live wells filled. Did you have any gear on boat. As another to Jaucques measure how far the scuppers set above the water line when at rest at the dock. Let him know what gear you have on board at the transom and if any tank...

Re: C17 -10%

Andy by reducing the C17 by 10% you will be reducing the capability by about 33%. You reduce all dimensions by 10% not just the length. So your boat will be 15' 3 5/16" x 7' 2 3/8" Buy the metric plans much easier to reduce the size by. Self bailing would go away as deck would be lower. Ma...

Re: GT 23 hull questions

Good info in those old posts. Those are some of the discussions I remember. So according to Jacques, the new version of the hull can be fit with bigger engines for planing, but is designed for 25hp. Jbo So get it and finish it to your liking and enjoy it you will have a great boat the rest of your ...
