Re: VG23 New Build
More work, more progress. Some days I wonder why I didn't just buy a boat, rather than building one. But all in all it is going as well as possible. Hard work of course, but one step after another. Amen brother. There isn't a day I don't ask myself that very same question. But, you eat a whale one ...

Embedding vidoes posts
The forum software has the ability to embed video (and other media) directly in posts. Here are the basic directions to include videos in your posts. 1. Upload your video to "someplace" like youtube, facebook, google, ect. There's a long list and we try to be "agnostic" who which...

Re: HB20 Build - Upstate NY
You can use the media or BBvideo tags for a number of sites now. The tags look like and result in https://youtu.be/4lBslQKtDmE?si=SNkozm10fmtsYvJd I'll post something over in the forum software section on how the plugin is works and how...

Re: HB20 Build - Upstate NY
Ok builders... here goes. 8) Still finding our footing! Embedding the video preview into the post doesn't seem to be working for me... here's the link anyway. https://youtu.be/4lBslQKtDmE?si=owVXI68xLqfcqAGP Let me work on what happened with embedded vids. I supposedly fixed that with a pile of wor...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwtOZz_8X94 Sanctions against 3rd party components affecting 3D printer manufacturers. Yeah. If the feds were honest (which we can debate if any federal agency can be honest by mandate)(and I say this irrespective of who is in power) ALL ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS shoud be o...

Re: Payment page blank
Short answer: We don't answer store transaction issues on the forum. Lag answer: For that one you should call the shop. Different software (same Jaysen supporting it) but the checkout plugin is a third party. Since you are (if i recall) a repeat, they will likely be able to just recover your cart an...

Re: Recent website and forum performance issues
"Sorry but you cannot use search at this time. The server has high load. Please try again later." I can't get to new posts or unread posts this morning, is it all because of bot traffic? Should be fixed. Was actually pending reboot causing excess journel logging between disk snapshots. Ho...

Re: Old outboard (15hp Johnson) rehab
As every teenage Jaysen in the multiverse knows… pressurized vapor is what goes boom. The feds are literally making explosive devices in ever shed and garage in America.
Also… cars must be vented. So… logic be damned!

I belive the death of the metal tank is a federal thing. Grounding requirements. Odd that plastic carries more charge potential but... who's letting science make the actual decisions here?

Re: transom cut out
You could splice a new piece(s) in there but you’ll need to remove some of the existing to make a lap joint. If that raises questions then, as OliverP said, I’d consider cutting the existing transom out and starting over. Keep in mind any repair will need to support the weight and thrust of whatever...
