Finally put a gps on it today. Standing I could get 29 mph. Sitting on the back seat I got 33 mph. That's a 15hp two stroke merc with 260 pound me on board.

Yep. That's an ol merc 2 stroke. I picked it up on Craigslist for 300 bucks. The great part is it only weighs 65 pounds. That's a fraction of what some of the 15hp motors weigh.
