Re: LM18 CC-TX build
Your hatch gutters look identical to mine, in fact just finishing up two on my most recent build. These 2 will be my 13th and 14th hatch constructed this way. Just use a router and round over the top plywood edge and just glass enough to cover the joint between the plywood and the gutter. I've used ...

Re: Happy Birthday Seaslug
Thanks guys, I really appreciate the well wishes. I had a wonderful day with family yesterday, then finished a beautiful canoe restoration today. Getting old is great. Sight fishing Red's on the flats in the morning.

That's one fine looking skiff, beautiful work. Looking forward to seeing the splash. I used Alex seal on my last build and absolutely loved working with it.

Re: ISO wood stove
I have a Drolet Escape made in Canada. It's an excellent stove, and I've never had smoke in the house, and can even be used with the door open. If you have to purchase a new stove, it's definitely well-made and efficient.

Re: NE FL FS18
Everything looks good from here, now that you've told me your plan. We want gaps everywhere, but 1/8 is plenty, any more just uses more filler and as you know it isn't cheap. Re: NE FL FS18
Hey John. What you're describing is correct. The hull is dead flat at the transom, then a very slight V starts somewhere around 25 or 30 inches and increasing gradually going forward. Be sure and use the little pieces of pvc pipe while aligning and stitching together the bow, otherwise it will be ve...

Re: No Excuse
Craig, glad the trip went well, and you made it back home safe. Other than being a little dirty, what a beautiful boat. If it hadn't been so far from home, I would have bought it myself, but any drive over thirty minutes is too much for me. I'm just glad you've taken ownership and will bring it back...

Eric, So sorry to hear of your health issues forcing you to sell the boat. We've all enjoyed following your build. A truly outstanding build, someone will be very lucky acquiring it at such a good price.

You're almost there. Your boat looks fantastic, and great job on the fairing and hatch builds. When is the launch?
