Re: PG22 - Jack of All Trades
The boat building 'Godfather' of this forum, Cracker Larry, once wrote, "Boats are either black or white, and nobody would ever paint a boat black"! I followed his advice in fear of being struck down by a lightning bolt if I didn't :help: and painted my boat white all over - inside and ou...

Re: PG22 - Jack of All Trades
Welcome to the Forum and look forward to following your build. Agree with Fuzz Whie is terrible for the inside of a boat. Also do not move your console back the Panga's are notoriously stern heavy. Otherwise, it looks like you are good to go. Take pictures and keep us updated on your build. The PG2...

PG22 - Jack of All Trades
PG22 - The Game Plan [/u][/b] Just about to begin construction of the strongback so I thought I would start a thread detailing the build of my PG22 Panga and use this as a method of thinking out loud and as a sounding board to the many helpful and knowledgeable boat builders here. This build has be...

Re: panga 22
I could not find pictures of the sapele deck construction, I did not have to steam it, started with the coaming, then the king plank at the bow to receive the ends of each strip, after cutting all the strips from 5/4 planks 9 ft long I cut scarf joints to glue up 24 ft strips, started with the strip ...

Re: panga 22
Beautiful work! Any other pics or details on how you built the sapele gunwales/coaming/breastplate, etc? I have visions of a thousand clamps, steam bending, scribing, witches brews... :D I've been following boat building on the web for at least a decade and this is pretty much the only aspect of whi...

Re: FS14_LS Ultra Low
One day I will publish complete plans fro a foam version and it will have a lot more information than what you received. Those plans will also cost more. I am working on foam sandwich notes for small boats: I am at page 35. I understand. I'm not an expert on structural engineering but I get the fee...

FS14_LS Ultra Low
Starting new thread in appropriate section - I hope. . . . I'm thinking about building an ultra low version of the FS14_LS. It would end up more like the SK14 or a giant SUP with an outboard and be completely foam filled with no hatches, etc. Don't without getting specs from the designer (that's me...
