Re: Bertram 25 CC w/Twin OBs
Couldn't pry anything loose, but without confidence in the integrity, ground out one side before needing to replace the backup pad on my grinder. 2nd session mid-week. Grinding it out back to old battery housing and hacking the front side of that out leaving the backside to complement some future bu...

Re: Bertram 25 CC w/Twin OBs
Finally in the new shop. But upon closer inspection, center stringer is making a wonderful crunchy sound as I pressure the hull around it from midships forward. Glad I found it now. The outer ones feel solid but I'm skeptical. The molded stringers go out about 3" at the base (flush with the hul...

Re: Bertram 25 CC w/Twin OBs
Thanks Cape Fisherman. I’m appreciative of and absorbing all feedback and just trying to gain confidence in the plan. So be it... Re: Bertram 25 CC w/Twin OBs
Daytrip, funny you come up with 7"... I calculated 8" that I'll take away from the helm area last night to shift forward and looking at some additional opportunity to do so in the tackle center, perhaps I'll gain a bit over a foot in all which would yield a 5.5-6" depth in the cockpit...

Re: Bertram 25 CC w/Twin OBs
Thanks Jeff, Daytrip. Glad to get the #s on the console... gives me perspective... my plan is super long- 104". Hopefully, that'll compensate for some of the forward weight factor, minimizing ballast. Hoping to drive some weight across the whole platform with a heavier sole... perhaps using mar...

Bertram 25 CC w/Twin OBs
First post on the forum; really looking forward to everyone's input since I've been watching, reading, learning over the years as I've been executing on a recent restoration of a 20' Shamrock for my son and planning this bigger project, the conversion of a 25 Bert to center console. Clearly, MBigger...
