Re: And the planning begins!
11 years you want a blue water cruising live aboard, initial thought was catamaran but budget eliminates that, so you thought build it, but that is expensive as well, so now smaller fixer upper monohull. Do I have that right so far? You want to live aboard now, you probably want to learn or practice...

Re: HC14 to Sailing Trimaran?
Ok thanks for the encouragement, glad to know I'm not (too) crazy. Is that something you would be able to design and have available for your canoe builders to buy, or would you recommend I buy plans elsewhere? My main concern with generic plans is that I do not know the compromises with relationship...

Re: HC14 to Sailing Trimaran?
crickets? :P Found this video, https://youtu.be/jWJTel_DQF4 Can buy plans for those 'drop in' outriggers for $30 including plans for 'drop in' sail rig. I do not think it includes plans for a rudder system or a board..... not sure if a board is necessary, but I see them on some of the videos I found...

Re: C-17 Stitching
Hi everyone, I've just started to stitch together the bottom panels for the c17 and wanted to check about a few things. Overall, I think it looks ok, with a pretty uniform gap between the two panels down the length of the boat. It looks great! That being said, there are a few things I'm unsure abou...

HC14 to Sailing Trimaran?
Random thought today, been reading a lot about sailing and multi-hulls recently and wondering about a cheap/fun way to learn. I have a stout bullet proof HC14 we built for my son, would it be stupid to build outriggers for it and set it up for sailing on our lake here? If not a stupid idea, are ther...

Re: Narfi's Zenith CH750 Super Duty
I got the blueprints for the Rudder from Roger this week but in the middle of making a storage bed w/ bookshelves and secret cave for my son so probably cant start till next week. Ordered the 3/4x3/4 angle I needed, just a few inches needed for the rudder but Roger told me I would need roughly 20ft ...
