Re: The pink filler is...

I could be wrong, but I think the silica helps prevent sagging on heavy coats or fillets. So pure mucrobalones in thin coats and horizontal surfaces and mix for thicker vertical? I'm not sure I used the mix for everything. Wood flower for gluing joints Mix for fillets and fairing Graphite for the bo...

Re: C17 instructions

I dont have the C17 plans, but I do have the fs17 and fs19 and hc14 so might be similar.
Did you get a folder of pfds? Check the subfolders, there should be plans as well as instructions, if not you can check with Jeff or Reid, they are super helpful when you contact them.

Re: Lithium Retrofit

I think I've forgotten how to take my daily pictures. Working on the boxes still. Figured out a method to glass them in without access to the underside, kind of a rube Goldberg approach but should work. Built a lip on the boxes and will install a lip under the bunk that the lip can hang on. They wil...

Re: Lithium Retrofit

A couple nights ago I taped the inside of end plate I added to the start battery boxes. Last night gave them a light sanding and some fairing material. Don't want to put too much effort into them but need smooth enough I can wipe them clean if anything spills. Not worrying about the outside of the b...

Taped the exterior of the end plates for the start battery boxes but forgot to take a picture. 20240312_213744.jpg Persp...

Re: Lithium Retrofit

I think I got over my mental block maybe... Id been struggling with how to splice the extra few Inches to the bottom of the sides of the battery boxes once I have the new base glued in. Tonight I realized I don't need to. I cut the old completely out and will make full height sides new. Probably sho...

Re: Landing craft, quad sized.

My offer for the property was accepted yesterday, so looks like this is going to be a real thing. 8) Congrats!!!! I also heard there is a guy with a small barge on the lake, who can be hired to haul stuff across, so that's also a good option to keep in reserve. If this is an option. It's a better o...

Re: Lithium Retrofit

Glued the end plates on the start battery boxes. Will grind fillet and tape it once cured.

Not sure why but I'm struggling a bit more with paralysis by analysis than I normally do. I just need to start doing and stop thinking. I can always grind away any mistakes.
