Re: Fs17, June 2016, colonialc19, Daniel
On the performance side, I don't run it hard much, one day last fall I saw 32 knots on the gps, but thats with a very light load, I'm still running the factory aluminum 12 pitch, but I think its lost some performance after the last couple of sand bars. With a fishing load It likes to run 18-22 knots ...

Re: The Plytanic 2.0 - FS17 Build
Hello, very nice work on your build, about drainage for the sole, just throwing out what I did, it may or may not be something you'd do, but I have a drain hole on each side of the boat just forward of the aft bulkhead, I also have a drain hole through the rear bulk head on the center line that drai...

Re: Fs17, June 2016, colonialc19, Daniel
Its been 2 years since launching my FS, and I thought I'd post a few pics. My boys and I have fished it from the James river in VA to the Palmico sound in NC, and it does great, I can fish all day usually on a few gallons of fuel. I even got caught in some nasty stuff at Hatteras inlet and the boat ...

Re: Fs17, June 2016, colonialc19, Daniel
Got out today and put another couple hours on the motor. I will say i am very happy with the way the boat handles, we rode her in some chop and boat wakes and she handled like she should no slamming, a nice sea motion. Great design Mr. M.. I do need to go up a pitch on the prop, i was at 27 knots an...

Fs17, June 2016, colonialc19, Daniel
Splashed my Fs17 for the first time today, no surprises (that's a good thing) , everything went well, still breaking in the motor so no real numbers on how it handles, but I'm very excited so far. Its been too dang long building this thing , I'm embarrassed to say how long, not even sure if I rememb...

Re: NFB SAFE-T II HELM by SEASTAR SOLUTIONS
I am no expert on the subject but, I set mine (i used the same steering) at about a 45 degree angle towards my chase tubes in the console and it works, not sure if the angle really matters. As far as chase tubes, I have mine in a 2" pvc electrical conduit, the electrical conduit has longer swee...
