Re: Hardener viscosities
Jbo, I have never noticed any difference in viscosity between the hardener speeds. Keep in mind, a nice benefit to the slow cure hardener is that it will not blush. We are located in FL so I very rarely use anything but slow, even in the winter months. I really don't recommend going to Medium unless...

Re: FS14 LS for Sale
Hey everyone,
We have a few interested parties in the FS14_LS but no takers so far. If anyone (or if you know of anyone) is interested please reach out to Jeff or myself. We are happy to discuss any particulars of the boat and will certainly let you come down to the shop and look it over.

FS14 LS for Sale
Hey everyone, We have decided to sell our FS14 Low Sheer. This boat was actually built by Seaslug back in 2016. Over the past 8 years we have used it for boat shows. It is essentially a brand new boat that has never even had a motor mounted to it. If you have been on this Forum for any length of tim...

Re: FS18/LM18 standard vs round chine difference
If I were to put a percentage on it, I would say 70% aesthetics to 30% functionality. IMHO
Hopefully you can get some additional feedback from those who have some real world experience with either version.

Re: FS18/LM18 standard vs round chine difference
Sayn3ver, Having fished on an FS18 with a hard chine and also having built an FS18 round chine, I figured I would share my two cents. First, the round chine will definitely add some time to the build. There will be significant sanding/fairing with the round chine version. As far as performance and h...

Re: RB16 new build KY 1st timer
Tommy,
Just as Pee Wee said.
The stringers will get two layers (offset seams) on each side of the stringer.
The Keel, transom, and bow will get two layers on the outside of the hull and two layers on the inside of the hull. Make sure to stagger the seams.

Re: Complete Novice Building a Sailing D5 in Texas
Pokeydonut, Welcome to the Forum. Just as Dougster said, look through the tutorials, read through other build threads, and study the plans. Most of your questions will be answered. I also highly encourage you to keep asking questions and post a lot of pictures on your build thread as you progress th...

Re: RB16 new build KY 1st timer
Tommy,
Basically, anywhere water will be releasing from the hull. For example, on my FS18 I sharpened the bottom of the transom and the chines. The chines were sharpened from the transom and up to about 6 feet.

Re: RB16 new build KY 1st timer
Tommy, I would think that the RB18 measurement would be sufficient (or at least get you in the ballpark). I like to put strakes/keels/skegs on my hulls after the hull has been fiberglassed and faired and before the primer. This way if you happen to hit something and it pulls away from your hull you ...
