I thought about your rub rail question more. You may be looking at the edge banding.....that is on purpose, padauk hardwood with varnish. Supposed to transition from the blue to cream decks

Curious if this would cause a problem but I have some more woodworking style stuff coming up on my build and curious if using Titebond 3 to glue board up then attaching to the hull and covering with 3 coats of epoxy will cause issues. You're getting there! What thickness of ply are you using on the decks? You have a lot of unsupported space below those battens. Don't get me wrong...I like the layout, but make sure the deck is solid and won't flex. We will have 3/8 in ply with 2 layers of 3 oz cloth on either side. We are getting...
