Thanks for the input. Definitely not looking for a big console, space alongside to walk around is important to me, I feel like it's lacking in my whaler or at least at the bare minimum. I'll run a tach for sure - the last motor I ran without one was in my 72 chevy truck. No gas gage in that either. ...

I'm interested in building the LM18 or the FS18, leaning toward the LM18 for a little more space and the ability to put a small center console in. Would a small center console with remote steering/controls, a gps/fishfinder, etc. be feasible? If so, do the plans show the optimal location or at least...
