Re: Insight into First Build

Thanks! I'm compiling something of an excel file on what the final costs estimates are for each boat. Any thoughts on the other question... One question I have is if you buy the epoxy/glass kit and a cnc kit, does that cover everything needed to finish the boat except paint? Seaslug, I saw your beau...

One question I have is if you buy the epoxy/glass kit and a cnc kit, does that cover everything needed to finish the boat except paint? I figured the grab rail, poling platform, cas...

Re: Insight into First Build

Okay, I'm going to measure out my garage today. Also, is there a Tapatalk extension of this site? It keeps coming up when I get on the site on my phone but when I go to it, there isn't anything there for Bateau.

Re: Insight into First Build

I don’t think I would store a finished boat at my house but more than likely my parents bay house. Is there a point in the build where it has to be on the trailer or can that be done at the end? Do most guys build in their garage?

Re: Insight into First Build

Welcome to the forum. For your intended use, and budget, I think the FS18 would be the right choice. I think the SC16 is too small to fish 2 guys, especially fly fishing. It's essentially a square backed, wide canoe. Unless you' were building a much larger boat, the process for building the FS18, F...

Insight into First Build

I'm sure I fit into a vast number of people that visit this forum and post stuff like this so here it goes. Currently trying to decide on whether to build a boat or keep on my very slow savings plan going. Got about $2,000 stored away and adding about 800 a year. At this point, I'm thinking why not ...
