I built a small glen l boat and was happ with the plans and outcome. THere is a certain appeal to building and shaping the frames... BUT I think my next build will be stitch and glue. Don’t know what I don’t know :P but it seems to me it will be quicker and easier to be sure I’ve got full epoxy cove...

I started building a boat for my son when he was six. Had it finished for last summer when he was seven. I’d say go a little smaller then the RB12. Maybe the nutshell 7 or v10 without the sail? His is an 8 footer with a 5hp. Finished it off to his ever changing specs :D . Pretty much perfect for a 7...

I’d suggest putting a diagonal brace between those temporary 2x4 cross members. (Belt and suspenders and all :D)
