Re: Attaching sides on XF20

I used nails and small strips of wood on my FS19 build. Just make sure you don’t get any glue on the wood strips. This was my first stitch and glue but as I understand it a narrow gap is fine. Just don’t have your panels touching each other.

Re: PG 20 Wiring Critique

Looks complicated to me. My build has minimal electronics and it was complicated enough as it was. Good luck.

Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA

I had enough hours on the Suzuki 90 four stroke to run up to full throttle yesterday but didn’t quite get there. She handled nicely but 35 mph at 5700 RPM on a smooth stretch of lake was fast enough for me right now! Ran her up to 30 mph in a moderate chop (pictured below) and stayed smooth and dry....

Beautiful skiff. Have not been following your build until now. How are the chines put together? I like how evenly you created the spray rails. Have you had it planning yet or is it too early in the Suzuki break? Nice fast work, 5 months.

Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA

Tom, I went with the size you recommended, stainless 14 x 20. She gets up on plane at about 2500. At 3000 she’s going 18 mph with one or two adults. At 4000 she went 25 with just me aboard and went 28 if I trimmed her up a little but handling suffered (touchy steering). I have to get another hour on...

Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA

Another cold hour of break in on the water, now can run 4000 RPM which is a confirmed 25 mph. After another hour I can open her up to 6000 RPM which is going to be way too fast for this Guy.

Beautiful overall finish and console. Saw the Suzuki key. What size year model?

Short video with Lyn at the helm is at 3000rpm, half throttle, the top break in speed that day.

Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA

SPLASH DAY, Jan 6, 2021 The crowd of onlookers was slim due to covid and January weather. New motor break in limited me to half throttle, 3000rpm and about 20mph. She’s smooth, stable, planes well, quiet (my first 4 stroke), handles waves nicely, and satisfied with bow hight on plane. Have about an...

SPLASH DAY TOMORROW!!!!! Finally all the stars have aligned. Final pre-splash photos are at the Google Photo link https://photos.app.goo.gl/Wqrre5QbBs8GaFby9. She’s the most spit shined she will ever be. She’ll be hanging under the dock tomorrow night. Here’s a few pics to start. Progressive insuran...
