I don't sail or have a boat that's finished but I subscribe to quite a few sailing channels on youtube (between here and the channels I live vicariously) and basically ditto what Jaysen said.
Every single sail boat that I have seen or watched has a metal wheel.

120 grit is a bit light, Lee. Best epoxy bonding is better around 40 grit which also knocks down the stitches which are not really structural... Each to their own! There is no way I am hitting my glass with 40 grit in an orbital sander - unless I am trying to remove it! 8O I used 40 grit without an...

I'm in agreement with Fuzz, hate seeing the core group passing, so much knowledge gone.

Thinking ahead to how(if) I’ll be able to cool off my cabin in the summer months. I’ll have only about 435 cubic feet of inside space. I do plan to insulate and the cabin will be painted white. But I’m in the southeast(Atlanta), so heat and humidity will rule day(and night) for 4+ months per year. ...

I think everyone uses more epoxy than they expect in the beginning.
