Re: Dust collection and sanding
They sell switches that plug into an outlet and you plug both the sander and the vac into it, when you hit the trigger on the sander the vac starts with it. I think i got mine from rockler wood working. This is true. The benefit to having that switch on the vac is you don’t need two long electrical...

Re: Dust collection and sanding
For shop vac brands, I really like the Fein models. They have some nice features I really appreciate. One of the best is an outlet on the shop vac that you can plug your tool (sander) into, and a switch on the vac that will automatically turn on/off the the vac when you turn the tool (sander) on/off...

Yes Reefie. Please keep lots of pics coming. Who knows what someone could learn from the simplest photo. Besides, this is one of the few threads I follow and get notices on. So the more photos you post, the more often I will have a reason to visit the forum.

Re: Reefie's LB26
I like the plank walkway you’ve made around the boat. I bet that makes it a lot less difficult to work on the bottom of your boat.
What are the black things you have holding down the fiberglass, and what is their purpose?

Gib

Re: Reefie's LB26
I cannot offer any insight as to the difference between the two glassing techniques, but I will say, as a future bateau builder, reading these discussions sure is enlightening and hopefully by following these discussions I will be better off when building my own boat. I sure hope you all will chime ...
