Re: Post server upgrade forum config changes.
Just noticed everything seems to be working good on my end. I don't post much right now but it's nice when I do it goes through quickly.
Jaysen: Thanks for the hard work and putting up with the stress of getting everything in order. Well done.

Everything is looking incredibly good. A good cordless collection is a must in boat building. Saves on the cords everywhere and easy to grab and go. BTW, I am a big fan of Ryobi. The 18V, 5-gallon canister wet/dry vac does the job of keeping boat debris under control. 4 amp battery lasts a good while.

Re: repairing gap in keel/hull
Take the bow screws out to get the panels closer and that will fill the gap more. Some gap is good when using epoxy. Could try tightening the gap starting away from the bow and work towards it. Tightening them up a little at a time, each one. And checking how it fits on the bow. If some areas make c...

Re: GT27 Build (Wes K)
Looked like a lot of things were finished before the move, and the whole crew was helping to get her ready for it. I like that the windows came with screens and shades, very nice. Is the exterior done and just the interior left? Electrical, electronics, plumbing and so on too? Great job!

Re: 4 stroke info for a 2 stroke guy
I love my 25HP Suzuki, 2023 model. After the break in, I run it at WOT every time I go out for a little while but cruises nicely 4700-5000 rpms. Sips gas and hard to hear it idle. No oil sheen on the water and no gas fumes to smell. I picked Suzuki because it comes with pull start built in, can be p...

Re: OD 16 Questions
To maybe answer #2 and #3, the way I understand the plans. I will say if the plans state to put two layers on a seam you do not stack them but off set them with that overlap over the seam. It will give you a strong seam and with the overlap being offset, easier and less sanding. Then if it states to...

Re: BASIC electrical system info.
I'll be the a$$ hat on this. You already have fuel on board. For the price of a proper solar charger to maybe keep up with your day time demand on perfect days, you can buy a very very quiet (and small) Honda generator to run a charger/conditioner and/or inverter. The simple path is the right path ...

Re: VG23 New Build
When it comes to sanding, I use as many power tools as possible to get the bulk of the sanding done in as short of time as possible. Mini belt sanders, round drum sanders, I used two sizes of belt sanders, 3 if you count the mini belt sander I wore out. Disc sanders that chuck up in a drill, which I...
