Re: OB 15
Hello FrasianAngler. Sorry for the late reply, I'm in the Dominican Republic and since I've been here haven't been checking the forum much. I didn't set the motor lower, I left it as is and been getting good performance with it were it is mounted. With the motor trimmed all the way down the cavitati...

That is the measurement in inches. The OB is a fun boat to build, enjoy.

Great report on the OB. I do hope I have built mine as strong as yours. Time will tell.
Please post pictures of the before and after.

Re: OB 15
The trout are ridiculous in the southern part of the bay. May next year... I think I read that the trout, redfish, and snook will be closed until September of 2021 in the west coat of Florida. The trout and snook are plentiful in the south side of Tampa. Got a few big healthy snook. It’s definitely...

Re: OB 15
I currently have a Yammie C60 on mine, Wow a 60 8O That boat must fly. I just did the math on the miles traveled last week. 51.41 nm total. I put marks on my tank to sight gauge the fuel in the tank. I used only a little over 6 gallons total, 8.57 gallons per miles. I think that’s pretty good for a...

Re: OB 15
Hope everyone had a great holiday week. I sure did. I spent the weekend with the family using the OB for fishing and exploring. On Thursday we went from Melbourne FL. south to Malabar and visited a few spoil islands. The fishing in the Indian River wasn't that good. I have tried several times fishin...

Re: SK14 in TX
I used Interlux Bright side for the topsides of my boat. I had the same circle problems on the first coat. For the second coat I wet sanded and cleaned the surface with a vacuum and a wet rag only , no solvents. I used less reducer for paint for the second and third coat and I didn’t get the circles...

The boxy looking plane is a Short 360 built in England. It's ugly and slow but gets the job done . I know we have a few aviation nuts on the forum, hope you all enjoy the pictures.

Sending boat building materials.
My cousin will be building an OB 17 in Puerto Rico. I helped him get the materials over from BBC to Puerto Rico in my brother's cargo plane. Hope to see him post some pictures of his build here in the forum as soon as he starts. Be on the look out for "Ed Torres OB 17".

Re: Cheap boarding ladder for small boat
Thanks for the insight. Me and the wife have used the ladder on the boat with no problem. When in use it does tend to swing under the boat, but it helps to get body weight of your arms to come over the gunnels. Me, wife and the kids really don’t need it as we can get back in the boat easily even fro...
