Re: Laguna Madre 18 with tunnel

I don't think the completed build threads is maintained any more. I finished mine over year ago, but they never moved it to completed. As for the running draft, if you keep the boat light, and not throw a 50 Hp on it I would think a running 6 would be achievable with a tunnel. I have hit a sandbar i...

Re: LM18

Interesting, I need to think about that. I'm not sure they will have the same affect. They only go down about 1 inch and are about 3-5 inches long. They won't help you track while polling, but might be effective enough with a trolling motor. You might want a second opinion as I have limited experien...

Re: LM18

Are you putting a Skeg? This boat rides so flat that I would say it is a requirement. Plus it will help you track quiet a bit.

I bought this I really like it. I went with the 75 version based on speed specs. If your running a 30 you could done size.

Re: LM18 scaling question

If you only have 18’ length to build I don’t think it will work. I had 3’ in front and 3’ in back and I wish I had more room. I would get a 24’ tent type building.

My two cents.

Re: LM18 SSI GA

I'm not sure I understand your question, the "Finished" base of my console was 16 X 43. From there all corner go straight up, so I have 16" width at the helm. With the rod holders on the sides of the console that add another 5" to step around, and I have big feet. I also went wit...

Re: LM18 SSI GA

How wide is you console? Looks wide. For reference mine is 16". I still would like more room to walk around it. If I was to do it again I would go 14" wide console.

Re: Lm18 madison wi

That wiring is for the underwater lights and the stern light. The white tube is just an organizer. I hate when I accidentally hook a cable, so I ran my hydraulic lines and wiring through it. It is secured with a neoprene gasket under the hatch and the other end is just open. If it get water in it no...
