PC24 dual engine pod design

Hi, We are building a PC24 to be powered by two 30HP engines. In lieu of placing engines on the transom as I'd suggested earlier, we were thinking of modifying the engine pod in the designs to take the two engines. Also, I guess we'll still need to build the engine pod? Does it play any part in holding the boat together?

The engine shaft length is 508mm. Yes I believe we can get brackets if needed.

Thanks for the prompt reply. The hulls already have frames. No step on transom.
