Up until six months ago I had a sailboat built in 1972/1975. My insurance was through a local SD broker with Markel American.

Re: 1992 SeaPro 170DC Floor Repairs
Back at it now. Most of last year was a lost cause. The outboard was being "problematic" at best. Spent more time attempting to wrench on it then fishing and I've had enough of that. Working on getting it repowered soon. In anticipation of a new 4 stroke I've ordered a custom fuel tank thr...

Re: C19 vs CX19
A new contender has entered the ring! Went ahead and picked up plans for the P21 as well. Wife says she likes it better than the other two options. I've always liked what I've seen of them as well. I've definitely spent more than a few hours checking out the builds from fastlane and copro. Definitel...

Re: C19 vs CX19
I appreciate all the comments and since this will basically just be a fishing boat for me I'll probably just stick with the C19 as designed. While the hulls are the same shape. The internals for both are a little different. Its really not just as easy as put the hull together and then figure out the...

C19 vs CX19
Hello all, I've been of two minds about what to build and have bought both the C19 and CX19 plans. I like the idea of a cabin and a windshield for my wife and the general "comfort" but the reality is that this will be a fishing boat 90% of the time. Just not sure that the cockpit space bet...

CX19 BOM Questions
Just purchased the plans for the CX19 yesterday and I can't seem to reconcile the BOM to what I'm seeing in the plans for the quantities of plywood. The BOM says 6mm x 8 pieces, 9mm x 17, and 12mm x 2. What I'm seeing in the plans is along the lines of 6mm x 15 pieces, 9mm x 13, and 12mm x 2. Where ...

Transducer Backing Block....Yea or Nay?
Do you guys/gals think this needs a backing block? Hull was all of 1/4" - 5/16" there. It's definitely doable and I have extra wood/glass to do it but it's definitely going to be an extra day of work. Is it truly necessary?

Re: 1992 SeaPro 170DC Floor Repairs
Been a minute....new appreciation for all the boat builders being discovered as I SLOWLY progress through this repair. Got the floor supports and new floor boards coated with epoxy a week or so ago. Got the supports taped in a few days ago with a couple of layers. Then yesterday got the floor boards...
