Has anyone tried this $500 4x8 c&c router?
Seems like it has a small margin of error compared to professional units. But for the main construction method here that might not be an issue.

Re: Resources to learn more?
Morning Terrulian, Glad you made it back safely after that hull failure. When I was a kid it was one of the scariest boating memories I can remember. We had a 25 foot Rampone boat with twin 140's. For 15 years the damn thing did just about everything we could throw at it without complaint. Then one ...

Re: Resources to learn more?
Thank you OrangeQuest. I will take a look at that and see what is available. At the end of the day I am not looking to design my own plans as much as I am just looking to understand the concepts behind what I am building and how different decisions would have effected it. I.E. if the DE25 had a deep...

Resources to learn more?
I have been a boater all my life. But I have never really understood the design of the boats I have been riding in. As I have been looking into these projects it's become clear it's a fascinating topic. Can anyone point me to any books/courses/links/design software to learn more about the theory of ...

Re: IS a DE27 Still in the works?
Thank you. I had seen the +- 10% and that is a simple enough calculation. I had just seen a post from 2 years ago specifically calling out a DE27. Was not sure if there was going to be something unique about it. I appreciate the willingness to consult on different loading. The intent would absolutel...

IS a DE27 Still in the works?
Good morning. I am picking up a set of plans for a FS14 today as I have a 14hp outboard sitting around and to get accustom to the building methodology. At the same time I am prepping for a larger project. Predominantly I need to ensure I have the covered space and equipment to build it. And that is ...

Re: Odd Electric Boat and Other Questions
Thank you so much for the response Jacques. I was thinking more along the lines of solar + Batteries concept you mentioned. Not designed for continuous usage but rather just puttering around for a few hours a day. I will take a look at those hulls you mentioned. Unfortunately I am stuck in Pennsylva...

Odd Electric Boat and Other Questions
Good Morning All, I have a few questions on a potentially odd topic. My family has some property in the Bahamian out islands. So I am looking for a 17-21 foot shallow draft vessel for my son and I to play around in. I had an odd idea of trying to do a solar electric vessel. Using flexible and walk-a...
