Definitely need a new impeller(though that may not be why it wasn’t “peeing”). If they did good work, probably doesn’t need anything else. Won’t hurt to change the lube in the foot, but probably not even that is necessary.

Re: New boat from elsewhere
Me too. Use exclusively slow. Learned to use a squeegee 99% of the time and can still do big sections that way even up into the 80s and low 90s.

Re: New boat from elsewhere
I’ve used it down to 60F, but it takes a long time to cure(which is, of course) sometimes handy. I wouldn’t try using it below that. Thats the slow hardener, by the way. Medium and fast will work into lower temps, but not sure how much lower. If you’re in a heated workspace, all that matters is the ...

Re: New boat from elsewhere
I use mostly 3/16”, I think. Depending on how tight bends are, you could need a little larger in some places, but mostly you would just likely use the same size, but put them closer together in those areas. Be careful with the puller as far as over tightening. And remember that often tightening in s...

Re: repairing gap in keel/hull
I agree with Fallguy. Looks to me like you’ve forced it to the mold as there seems to be gap along the full length that could be tightened, but you look tight to the frame.

Re: BASIC electrical system info.
So, pardon my ignorance if I’m asking “how long is a string”, but how much/how many times would a fully charged car battery charge my iPhone without “adding” charge? ie. How do I figure that? If I started with a fully charged deep cycle battery, how much/how many times would it fully charge my phone...

Re: GT23
I mixed a little over a quart of graphite-epoxy at a time and applied with a plastic squeegee. No loss to a roller or brush. It “flowed out” pretty well. A little orange peel is all I had. Plenty good for me.

Re: Suzuki/Tohatsu High Thrust
I’m guessing 5% or less of the time will be above half throttle. I’m guessing most at little more than idle- call it 25%. My wife and I are pokey people. I had a center console fishing boat for years and it probably was run on plane less than an hour over a decade. The only time we’d be above half t...
