Re: C-19 in Maryland

We could only start using the C19 at end of August and have been on it about 4 or 5 times. At the end of engine break in period now. Have not had 2 people on yet. Least amount was 4 people. With 4 people doing 30mph at 4000rpm (still at break in) could easily go over 30mph. Prop pitch is 14x19. So f...

Re: C-19 in Maryland

Dan, I have been out on my C19 a number of times and it rides great. The 115 hp really moves the boat. Was doing around 30 mph with 7 people on board. It handles the Chesapeake bay with no problem.

Re: C-19 in Maryland

Suzuki 115 was installed and tested by the dealer. Received my boat registration and my C19 is ready to go. Question on boat insurance, I tried to get the boat insured with Geico marine and they would not insure due to the wood hull. Anybody know of any companies they will insure home built boats. M...

Re: C-19 in Maryland

Thank you Dan, you are a big help. I looked over your posts many times when building the C19 for reference. I have 2 16 gallon fuel tanks and installed similar to your tanks. Also, the fuel tank company in New Jersey were very helpful in how to install and ground the tanks. My Suzuki dealer recommen...

Re: New EPA gasoline fuel systems.

The only information I have other than the fuel tank company giving me this information is this website.
Gerrmarine.com look for a article called: The new era of gasoline fuel installations. ABYC H-24 and H-25.

New EPA gasoline fuel systems.

I am currently building the C-19 in Maryland. I was contacting a fuel tank company for quotes and information and they told me all new boats including home built boats built after 2013 have to have this new EPA fuel system requirements with a carbon canister and no spit back deck fill. Has anybody h...

Re: C19 Build by the Bay

Thanks everybody! I’m sure we’ll be asking a few questions along the way. TomW, Yes we’ll be doing most of the boating and fishing in the upper bay, around the bridge area. We’re planning to put a 90 on it. That would be great for some advice. Dan, Sounds great, thanks! Our first build was a 16’ fla...
