Re: LM18 Houston Tx

Put the poling platform on. Installed push pole holders (that i 3d printed). That is about all i plan on doing. Nothing left to do but fish. I have taken her out a few times. Mostly exploring rather than fishing. I am still trying to get familiar with the bay and the boat. She runs good. I can get h...

Re: LM18 Houston Tx

I did put it in the water this week on a friends private lake. It floats nice. Tank was full and the bow was just up a little but not as much as expected. I have batteries in front as well. Once the poling platform is on i think it will be as expected and hoped. I did not run up the RPM over 4000 an...

Re: LM18 Houston Tx

Got the boat back today. Putting in the water for the first time tomorrow. Here are some pictures. I thought the guy who installed the motor, controls and instrumentation did a nice job. https://i.imgur.com/T84yVtr.jpg https://i.imgur.com/OhKjuv8.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Ib9VQBe.jpg https://i.imgur.c...

Re: LM18 Houston Tx

I am still trying to find someone to do the aluminum work. For my PH18 I found a guy in Spring who made some custom aluminum grab bars and rod holders. Worked out great. Let me know if you'd like his contact info. Will Will I would love his number. Finding anyone right now is supremely difficult Wi...

Re: LM18 Houston Tx

Eric a 4-blade 10.75 x 12 should be very close to what you need for your set up. My other option would be a 10.5 x 12, the reason is the range in weight of your hull. Even 100lbs can make a difference in my prop calculations, for this first run I used the average of the weights you gave me. If you ...

Re: LM18 Houston Tx

Eric I would be glad to help you get a 4-blade prop but will need a lot of information from you to run through my calculations. Let me know if you want to do so. I have done an FS18 with a 40HP, so it won't take long to do yours once I get your numbers. Tom Would love to get your suggestions. what ...

Re: LM18 Houston Tx

Looks really good but how are the bolts fastening to the deck? The bolts don't actually touch the deck. The 0.25" thick G10 plate is glued to the deck using epoxy resin. I drilled and tapped the G10 so i could bolt the console base to the G10. Although the bolts extend about 2 threads below th...
