Re: Dillpickles SK14 build.

So, got a few things done. Its been slow going, school, band, baseball take a bunch of my time and yards are not needing cut so my dad is helping me earn more allowance. I was a little disappointed the two gallons of foam does not finish the job even though the BOM says its enough. I am saving to bu...

Re: Dillpickles SK14 build.

So i am a little embarrassed to post pics of the stringers and fillet job i did. Its a LOT sloppy and does not look as good as some. Its solid as a rock though! Also i didn't realize you do not have to tape and epoxy every stringer seam but it got it anyway. Guess i will be a little heavier but supe...

Re: Dillpickles SK14 build.

I finally got time from School, Baseball tournaments and Teal Season to do a little work on the boat. With my dads helped we made out butt joints and glued the transom together. I hope i to start stitching this week, lots of rain forecasted so no baseball practice.

Re: Dillpickles SK14 build.

I really dont have any new updates. I finally purchased the last of my wood and finished cutting it all. I earned my own money to buy the wood so it had to go a little at a time, lots of yards cut and few pens turned on the lathe sold. My dad said he would buy the Fiberglass, Resin and fillet so i s...

Dillpickles SK14 build.

Hello all. My name is Brayden and I am 13 and from La Porte, Texas. Me and my Dad started a SK14 build. He reads alot and then helps me do all the work.
This is our first boat build so I may be asking lots of questions. We got our work table built and started cutting today.
