I hope Dan can end up with this boat. However, if that falls through, I am curious what it would take to ship it out to the best (west) coast. This would look great parked next to Yoda's HMD19 in my yard.

Re: TW28 - Frames extending into box Keel
If you go back into Rick's youtube videos you can see how the frames lay out around the keel area. it looks like the frames all stop at a pair of stringers and between them in the keel are the necessary bulkheads needed to mount the prop shaft etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-78OG97mM8E Start a...

Re: Proper axle sizing is important
21K worth of axle capacity wasn't enough for a 9K boat? that seems like a pretty generous safety factor. In my experience with car hauler trailers and RV trailers, they regularly get loaded very close to the rated limit of the axles with issues only stemming from lack of maintenance. OTOH, by HMD19 ...

Re: Boat sank
So sad to hear. The sea is a mighty beast. Dungeness Crab season opened a few weeks ago here in California. The opening weekend was gnarly, 10-12'+ seas. Storming. 6+ people including multiple children died in 2 separate events that weekend.

Re: C17 single side panel possible?
Yes a stiffener may work, or adding extra side frames between the existing ones. Another issue is to draw the single side panels, the plans don't specify the overlap between the 2 side panels so it's not trivial to extrapolate the dimensions of the single panel. This is definitely a factor. i have ...

Re: C17 single side panel possible?
The P/OP21 is very similar to the C17/19/21 hull shape aside from the single hull side panel. To account for the strength lost there the P/OP21 adds a half round stiffener glassed to the inside of the hull panel. It would not be impossible to use the same detail on the C17. Obviously this would be d...

Re: Pedro's PG20
Unfurtunatly due to the lack of experience unsing peel ply and fiberglassing in general, i manage to have alot of air bubbles on both the lateral strips. Is this relevant? Should I fiberglass another layer on top of the ones with air bubles? Honestly, from the pictures, that looks pretty good to me...
