Hardener sitting in heat all summer. Issues?

Hey everyone, random question. I left a jug of hardener all summer in my garage heat (Texas) with a plunger screwed on the top. I noticed that it was possibly vaporizing a tiny bit and forming this crust around the spout of the plunger and then accumulating and falling to the ground. My question, is...

Left Ez filet lid off for 48hrs...Issues??

Hey, quick question, i accidentally left the lid to the Ez Filet (both part A and B) off for 48hrs. I then laid some filet down last night and noticed it isn't hardening as fast. Maybe because of slightly cooler temps we've had down in Tx last few days but wanted to see those resins need to be cover...

Re: Ez-Fillet hard enough on puzzle joints? (LM 18)

Thanks Fuzz and Doug,

It definitely does sand. I tried it this morning and it creates a very fine dust material. So assuming it’s hard enough to sand, hoping it will cure with some heat.

And it has been in a garage in Houston Texas for 2 weeks. So btw 70-low 80s

Re: Ez-Fillet hard enough on puzzle joints? (LM 18)

Thanks everyone. Looks like I’m gonna hear and removed the putty. And just to make sure I was clear, the fillet is def slightly cured/almost hard, it def won’t scrape away with a knife at this point without some serious heat. Just wanted to make sure everyone understood it wasn’t soft or moveable. I...

Re: Ez-Fillet hard enough on puzzle joints? (LM 18)

Thanks both, to re-hash, the fillet cured about 85% as hard as it should. It is still SLIGHTLY soft. Ie I can leave a fingernail print if I press hard enough, however the fillet is still hard. At this point, is a heat gun going to allow the fillet to come off? Wondering if best to just order a new p...

Re: Ez-Fillet hard enough on puzzle joints? (LM 18)

Sounds good, thanks Jacques. I will go ahead and use what I have. Is there anyway to apply heat to speed up the curing process or should I just go with what I have now and start glassing? And fully noted on the smooth/clean surface. I was planning to sand eventually prior to applying glass so all go...

Re: Ez-Fillet hard enough on puzzle joints? (LM 18)

Thanks everyone for the advice. Seems the consensus is to heat it up with a heat gun and scrape off. This stuff is about 80-85% as hard as the other joints that cured properly. Everyone think a heat gun will soften up the fillet enough? Any others concerns? If not, I’ll start this tomorrow and hopef...

Re: Ez-Fillet hard enough on puzzle joints? (LM 18)

Thanks both

Are you saying to heat up the fillet and try to separate the puzzle joint completely?
