Re: Epoxy over Paint?
I guess the question I'm asking is, will epoxy stick to paint if it properly prepared (sanded)?

Epoxy over Paint?
I'm doing some repainting and had to sand off some spots where the paint (and even some fiberglass) had cracked off. Around those spots, the paint seems to be good. Will there be any problems if I seal the sanded spots with Marine epoxy and it covers some of the old paint too? I plan to sand and rep...

Re: Camp Trailer
Gstanfield... I've thought about doing the double pull. My neighbor also pulls his 5th wheel and then a toy trailer behind. I'm not sure how save it would be since my trailer is only a single axle. BB sig... the wall studs are 2x2. The top is 2x3. All panels are 3/8" marine ply. If I were doing...

Re: Camp Trailer
Thanks for all the comments. It was a fun project. Now I need to figure a way to tow/haul my fl14 and the trailer at the same time. No back door for toys. It's just a bunk house, basically. It weighs a bit over 2000 lbs. and the axle weight max is 2500. That's why it's very minimal on the inte...

Camp Trailer
I completed my camp trailer this last summer and final got around to posting. It's built on an old tent trailer frame. Panels are from marine ply with biax tape on the corners. Epoxy glued the panels to the frame to avoid all the screw dimples. I did have to use a few screws, though. Door and window...

Re: CAT22 Sailboat?
Evan... will you be doing a hard chine version of the hulls? I know nothing about foam or cold molding.

Re: CAT22 Sailboat?
Evan... I really like where this is going. I'm no designer, but this looks like a great way to fold and go.
Would there be a way to make the hulls serve as seats for the cockpit, possibly with a raised back rest? The older I get, the harder it is to sit on the floor.

Re: CAT22 Sailboat?
I'm thinking something like Woods Strike18. Instead of a tri, use a similar folding system on a cat. Would that be possible?
The hulls would be heavier for sure, but maybe some kind of rig to raise them.
