Re: OD18 in Arizona..SPLASHED..

Well, Arizona Sunset has a new owner and home. Just didn't have the heart to sell her, so it went as planned, I gave her to my grandson. He just moved to Nashville so I drove up and gave him my OD18. He was pretty happy. I'm not boatless though, I have a 24' pontoon for the wife and I, anyway if any...

Re: Fuel Lines

Thanks for this info. My OD18 has always smelled and I'm pretty sure this is the reason. When parked I always have my hatchs open to vent, if left closed the smell is terrible and everything in the compartment smells like gas. Going to look into replaceing fuel lines. I didn't know this about fuel l...

Re: Cape Man's Dory

Great pictures Capeman, I was born and raised in Utah and it is beautiful country. The winters just got to me finally and I moved out. I still try to make 1 or 2 trips to Utah each year as I really miss the beauty. But don't miss the evening mosquitos. Have a great trip and be safe. Keep the picture...

Re: Any Trailer experts out there?

OK, First I'm not a trailer expert, But I've towed lots of different size trailers including boat trailers most of my life. But I'll stick to boat trailers here. Over the years I've had several problems with bearings, I've never lost one while towing, (came close a few times) but it's always one thi...

Re: FL14 in Wyoming (+10%)

george,
Your kids are growing up fast. They were small when you built the first FL
Nice looking family, and boat is coming along nice.
I love Wyoming but hate the cold so for now I'll stay in Arizona.
I still get cold when thinking about the times working in Rock Springs during the winter.

Re: Painting aluminum

I've had good luck with this:
Moeller Zinc Chromate Primer
I'm only in fresh water but I repainted my pontoon aluminum and used this first and 5 years later it still looks good.
