Re: P21 Hull modifications.

Thank you all for your replies. I got sick like the rest of the world and was away from my computer for a while. I really don't want to chop the boat up but i also want to maximize the usage. its good to know i have options. I think if i do anything it will be minimal, I'l start by getting some larg...

P21 Hull modifications.

Hello Boat builders. It’s been a while since my last post. I feel Honored to see my boat as the boat plans picture for the P21!. The old P21 has served me very well for the last 10 years fishing the Atlantic ocean out of the Manasquan Inlet. The boat is hanging in there great despite being in a slip...

Re: JACQUESMM P21 Motorwell hatch

It looks like that boat would have been a bit better to go with a 25" shaft engine to get you more space there. Just a friendly observation... It is a 25" shaft motor. Plenty of room in there with the motor installed. Just not enough access to bilge. I have motor off now so i'll get to it...

Re: JACQUESMM P21 Motorwell hatch

...why can't you access from the front of back of the cockpit??? I would never want an access in the splasher. there is only a few inches between the floor and roof of the splashwell from the cockpit. I considered it. the rear of one of my tanks is in there with sender, fill and vent along with 2 t...

Re: JACQUESMM P21 Motorwell hatch

Thanks. Hindsight is always 20/20. 3" is reasonable and what i was thinking was cutting out the portion and making a new piece out 1/2 that would have hatches in it. that piece would also be removable and be sealed on top of the perimeter of the original motorwell floor so it could be removed i...

JACQUESMM P21 Motorwell hatch

How much of the motor well floor is needed? I want to make as large of an access hatch as I can. Ideally the entire thing removable or as much as possible. I have a lot of rigging in there and didn’t have Enough Forethought to build enough access so now i must get the saw out to do some maintenance....

Year 8 !!

Hi folks. Just pulled the boat over the weekend for storage. This completes year 8 on the water. She has been slipped on the Manasquan river every year since she was done. so far no problems other then some paint and lots of upgrades. She is still solid as a rock and a excellent ocean fishing boat a...

Re: P21 - Questions

Boat looks good!!

My P21 is heavy. It has a Yamaha 115. Max speed is 32MPH just like Jacquesmm calculated.
I'm happy with the performance. Its not a speed boat!
i run a 15 pitch prop. not sure how that would compare to the merc, they may have different final drive ratios.

Re: C21 for sale

Eric, I wish you the best of luck. I don’t post much anymore but I lurk a lot and follow a few threads. This is really sad and I can’t imagine something like this happening. I hope whoever Buys the boat is as Dedicated and meticulous as you have been and finishes it properly. I hope everything works...

Re: Do I need a primer over MarinEpoxy?

I painted the interior of my boat directly over scuffed marine epoxy. It has held up excellent. My deck was also coated with kiwigrip over marine epoxy. No issues there either in 8 years. I primed the outside hull and bottom before paint with the yacht primer. Its great stuff and HARD HARD HARD and ...
