Sorry ab.....I have been out of town this weekend and my boat is as the coast. If I remember correctly, I put just a tiny bit of fall on the scupper drains to make sure that they were at or just below sole level.....maybe 1/4 - 1/2 inch! I really don't remember exactly, but that is how I would do it...

You can stop the sole at the rear most frame with individual floors in the rear compartments. I raised those floors (with an inspection hatch) to be just above the scupper drain tubes.
