high transom
we added five inches to the transom to hold our 25hp long shaft. whch is just patiently waiting behind the drill press in the picture. we also beefed up the transom as we new this was on the motor was on the upper end of the power scale. thanks for the kind words

first time builder buidling a gf16
this is our first time buidling a boat i have built. my best friend and i decided we would like to try it and it has been quite enjoyable. my friend comes from a long line of cabinet makers and furniture builders and my father was always quite the wood worker and his father used to be a boat builder...

jon boat 16 glassing the bottom
the plans say to overlap the sides and transom 6" with glass however i can only find 50" glass? can someone tell me where to find wider glass or offer a suggestion. i really want to do the entire bottom in one piece.
