I know it's been discussed on another thread, but the Panga 22 with a small cabin would be great! Headroom isn't really an issue, just a small cabin to throw in a couple of sleeping bags and be sheltered from the elements. Dry storage when not otherwise in use.

I've been thinking about "tilting" the boat(DE23) to get it out my door. If someone could give me the deminsions of the widest mold or bulkhead(not trying to steal plans), I could make the shape using scrap lumber and see if it will fit. :help:

Thanks,
Mike

I finished rebuilding and old Starcraft aluminum hull boat recently and used Rust-O-Leum along with their clean metal primer. The hull was power brushed and rough sanded (down to shiny metal) before priming. Two coats of primer and three coats of paint. It's holding up well and looks pretty good for...

It's a concrete and brick wall. I thought about tilting the boat up on one side, but probably there's not enough height in the door to do that (6' 10"). I know the pilot house wouldn't fit, but I wasn't going to build that anyway. Would prefer a shorter windshield and some kind of bimini top in...

Will the DE23 (8" beam) go through a 7'6" garage d

I had made up my mind to build my "pipe dream", the DE23. I measured my building space in my walkout basement...no problem. Then I measured the width of the so called 8' rollup garage door...... 8O it's only 7'6". :help: Can the DE23 be narrowed by 6 inches? The program I want is to r...

Which primer, high build or finishing should be used? Do I need to use both?

Happy,
I love the combination of the C17 cabin with the HM19 hull! Were you able to order HM19 plans with the changes, or did you have to order both sets of plans?

This will be a fantastic looking boat. Good luck with the build and post lots of pics!

I have my set of plans for the FS17 and am considering the raised sheer version. I thought I wanted to build the motorwell side boxes higher (up to near the the sheer level). Is this possible and still have clearance for the steering cable to fully extend? Doesn't seem as it will be...... Mike ...

FS17 motorwell

JimMac had a problem with the steering ram hitting the side of the motorwell, (see the pic in his gallery http://gallery.bateau2.com/thumbnails.php?album=742&page=2). How can this be corrected before building? What are you guys who already have the FS17 hull completed gonna do to avoid the same ...
