You can get birch aircraft ply down to 1/64 - .4mm with 3 plies. Used the thin ply making rc aircraft.

Dave That's 2 to 3 oz. of water based latex tint per gallon of paint. It usually takes much less than that to get the desired color. Using the orca white as a base just use the mixing ratio that the paint store uses with white their white base latex and you'll get results very close to their charts....

Built to the plans there is no cover in the splash well. It is open from the top of the transom down to the sole of the boat. I put a drain/plug in the bottom of the transom. I had the same results trying to find a trailer that would allow the boat to be between the wheels. I ended up with the boat over the fenders and it has been no problem get off and on the trailer at any ramp so far. Richard Have you got a motor yet? If not I recommend a 70 hp. The reason being they can turn a larger dia prop and that makes a huge difference in the amount of ventilation you'll have. The 50 is enough hp to cruise at 20 and top out at 26 to 30 depending on the prop but prop dia are usually in the ...
