I kept refering to two gaskets. Actually it is a gasket and the actual diaphram. Sorry for the confusion.

Between the pump and the carb are two gaskets. there is a small rectangular hole in each. When I disassembled the carb to clean (motor wouldn't start, had good spark) the two rectangular holes were not lined up. Anyone out there intimately familiar with diaphragm fuel pumps? I have a gasket question if so. Trying to get an outboard working to drive my FL14 (if I ever get it in the water!!)
