It then took up space in my garage leaning against the wall until last week at which time I finally found the time to start painting. Finished that today and hope to see this project in the water within a coup...

John, The less expensive plywood I used worked out OK for me for this application. I will end up learning an awful lot about boat building and will be able to transfer those new found skills over to the next build. If I was to have made a bad cut and wasted a whole sheet of plywood, no big deal... j...

Great idea for the diaphragm kit. I already put on a brand new hose with primer bulb. As far as it being off before,I have no idea, I just bought this on Ebay. After reasembling the way it looked to me to be right, it ran so I think the PO took it apart and put it back together wrong. When it wouldn...

Between the pump and the carb are two gaskets. there is a small rectangular hole in each. When I disassembled the carb to clean (motor wouldn't start, had good spark) the two rectangular holes were not lined up. It was as if someone had taken it apart and fliped one gasket over, putting the hole abo...

Outboard Diaphram Pump

Anyone out there intimately familiar with diaphragm fuel pumps? I have a gasket question if so. Trying to get an outboard working to drive my FL14 (if I ever get it in the water!!)

Oh Man! Quick Fare rocks! There is absoloutely no comparison between sanding down Quickfair and the mixture I used. It could actually be hand sanded! I have no intention of going back and totaly redoing the inside but at least the outside will hopefully turn out better. Had I used Quickfair in the f...
