Some photos on the water
Here are some photos taken from the beach on a foggy afternoon. I continue to pleased by the performance and the capacity is not bad either. Took seven young kids and two adults to the beach across the bay. Strained a bit but was safe enough. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/19537/normal_B...

Carrying 580 lbs: 131 lb Honda BF15D 350 lbs crew 71 lb battery 10 lb anchor 18 lbs gasoline I managed 25.7...

Well I am sure it happens to the best of us. Bit of an ignominious launch today. Made it to our dock towed by a friendly stranger. The motor failed to start. Plenty of cranking power - turns over nicely but no sign of a cylinder firing. Replaced the gas and drained the gas line. Checked one of the s...

Rob, couple of questions. Where did you stick the gas tank? I assume it's an electric start, where did you stick the battery? Did you install a sole? Answered part of my question about electric start, duh, you do have running lights!!! It's sharp man, I plan on doing the breast hook and knees too. ...

Finished at last
Finished at last - well 99% done because they is always some improvement to make. Here are some shots of the completed boat. Hopefully the registration numbers will arrive on schedule tomorrow and we can launch. The kids keep asking what we will do if it sinks. Guess it did not help reading this poe...

Thanks Guys. I am feeling pretty good about the way it is turning out. I got a coat of primer on the topsides yesterday and also managed to get my HIN. Bit of a shame to cover the attactive marine plywood but I have no desire to varnish every year. At least the paint covers all my flaws - a wonderfu...

Progress update
Moved my boat for the summer and time for an update. A shot after arriving in the new canopy: http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/19537/normal_IMG_3814.jpg Glued three 3/8th ply for the knees and a breasthook. Also decided to fix the transom. http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics/19537/n...
