Re: BassMunn's PH16

Some more dumb questions for the day from the rookie field: 1/ Can I install the fuel tankbelow deck between the stringers? Has any one done this? he reason I would like this is it maximizes the storage under top deck and one can keep the center of gravity where it should be. Moeller makes a 30 gall...

Re: BassMunn's PH16

Thanks Shannon. I'll have to lower the seat base by the sounds of things. I had posted a query on lowring the sole but that gets into altering the engineering and complicates matters from the feedback I got. I may have missed it, but how/were did you decide to go with skeg instead of pad? Did you go...

Re: BassMunn's PH16

Nice work, almost there eh? Say, how much inside height will you have left after placing the seat cushion in on those supports? I understand the PH line has less interior depth then a typical bass boat? The reason I ask is that the seats I am looking at are 6" thick and will need to be on a 6&q...

Re: od16-step chine

Sorry everyone, likely dumb question of the week, what is chine tripping? Do I need to worry about this adding a reverse chine to the upcoming PH18?

Re: Bass boat choice

Thanks Tom. Yes we are definately lucky and head up the #400 from May long weekend through September every chance we get. We also have lots of other lakes northeast of here (the "Kawartha's) that we are on for tournements throughout the season. My personal best Musky was last year, about 1/2 wa...

Bass boat choice

OK, first of all thanks to the Bateau2 team for great support. After looking through all the info available, it would appear the PH18 is what I would want for a Bass Boat to hang my 115 off of, and it would have plenty of space for 7' + rod locker, great deck area, etc. I am aware that in heavy chop...

Re: Lay up schedule for Nidacore

Thank you gents!

This certainly makes sense. I will go with the foam for all but flat parts.

I'll post progress and pictures once underway on the board.

Cheers,

Mark

Re: Lay up schedule for Nidacore

Thanks Tom. Nidacore has a process for bends, including compound bends, scoring or removing "tracks" at predetermined intervals is the ticket. For example, it can be as simple as "skill saw" cuts (1/8" wide) every 3 inches both ways at 50% - 75% depth, and then once you have...

Lay up schedule for Nidacore

I am about to order plans for a PH18 to build a bass boat. I have Nidacore already, an hope to use it instead of plywood. I have searched the posts and see that a scedule is supplied for using foam instead of wood, would that be the same schedule to use for 1/2" Nidacore on sides and hull? Mark...
