Re: Evinrude ETEC G2

no but behind a 150 yamaha 4 stroke on a RIB... but with enough HP on a light boat it makes no difference, but it is a fact that 2 strokes have more low end torque.. and im not calling your boat slow, im responding to the topic of the post. namely is there a difference in performance from comparativ...

Re: Evinrude ETEC G2

I can only say that the DI 2 strokes, optimal and e-tecs have a totally different low end torque than yamaha 4 strokes. i have waterskied behind a bunch of comparable boats, and the optimax and e-tecs pull like nothing else compared to a 4 stroke.... if you dont plan on pulling a skier and only want...

Re: Please sanity-check my 5'6 dinghy design!

Re: Mastercraft prostar 190

MC stopped using wood for structural stuff in 1990 .. the honeycomb is dead and the wiring is a mess... had to make a new dashboard... and the interior is shot.. but skaft is straight. Rudder is fine and prop is ok.. the engine install (an injected, freshwater cooled indmar) was done by someone who ...

Re: semi protected water fishing / fun boat PG22 ?

Deuce I loved your FS14 build. Jacques is correct in the amount of hours that it would take to stretch the FS14 to a FS21. I have taken enough courses, see below, to know what it would take. I suggested the FS19 as presently designed without stretching for 4 people. it would do you fine and be a ve...
